Anheuser-Busch knows that great beer starts with quality ingredients, sourced directly from farmers and growers throughout America’s heartland. For generations, we have worked hand-in-hand to support the success of our growers. From irrigation projects to crop management, we work with our partners to ensure they gain the continuing skills they need to succeed.
Nearly 100% of Anheuser-Busch’s corn, barley, and rice are sourced from American farmers. Anheuser-Busch proudly supports American farmers and the agricultural community by sourcing 100% of the corn and rice, and 98% of the barley that go into our beers from U.S. farms.
Anheuser-Busch purchased $5.5 billion of the best ingredients from American farmers. Anheuser-Busch has spent $5.5 billion over the past 10 years to purchase the raw ingredients we need for our beers, including corn, barley, and rice. Last year alone, Anheuser-Busch bought nearly 16 million bushels of corn, 21.6 million bushels of rice, and 3.7 million pounds of hops – all from U.S. growers. And 2019 will be stronger than ever for the partnerships between Anheuser-Busch and American farmers.
Anheuser-Busch fully supports U.S. corn growers and will continue to invest heavily in America’s farming industry.
We have direct relationships with more than 730 barley growers, many of whom have been our partners for many generations. Anheuser-Busch’s barley breeding facility in Fort Collins, Colorado develops higher quality strains of barley, helping to reduce farmer input costs.
Anheuser-Busch’s rice mill in Jonesboro, Arkansas mills more than 21.6 million bushels of rice per day, supporting rice farmers in Arkansas, Missouri, and Mississippi.
We have 23 agricultural and packaging facilities throughout the country, including our own malthouses in Idaho Falls, Idaho and Moorhead, Minnesota – both critical parts of our regional agribusiness supply chain.
From sourcing our grains to investing in sustainable, innovative programs, no company does more to support the U.S. agriculture community than Anheuser-Busch.
Our unwavering commitment to American farmers gives us purpose beyond brewing.
